lost and found

age 4 she lost her grandmother
age 8 her belief in adults telling the truth (Santa, a giant bunny who were they fooling?)
age 12 the new watch she had gotten for Christmas, the gym teacher said she was not allowed to wear it in class so it was put on the stage with other peoples jewelry, when class was over it was not there to be retrieved and with it went any trust in her peers.
age 16 her pedestrian status and gained a new found joy in escaping
age 18 she lost the contents of her stomach (many times)
age 19 she lost her need for a fake id
age 25 her freedom (the trappings of parenthood) but that found again that santa was magic
age 28 she lost her youth but found wisdom does not replace it
